This Saturday the 3rd Annual Griffith University Paradise Regatta hits the water of the Nerang River and some of the nations most spectacular rowing and Dragon Boat Crews are set to do battle.
For the public the day starts at Circle on Cavill with an opening ceremony and rowing machine challenge between 7:30 and 9:00am.
The Regatta commences at the Gold Coast Arts Centre at 11:00am with a race every 10 minutes until 3:40pm.
It will be a great social day out with the Gold Coast Arts Centre putting on the best of their award winning catering with freshly cooked food and a full licensed bar facility.
Adding to the atmosphere will be both live jazz music and a DJ.
Highlights of the day include the Griffith University Boat Race with the local Griffith University taking on Brisbane's University of Queensland and the BIG ONE - the inaugural Australia New Zealand Boat Race which pits the two nations best male athletes head to head on 2km the Buds Beach to GC Arts Centre course.
FOX SPORTS will be covering the races and filming via helicopter on the day.
