After a heart breaking 1 second loss to The Southport School in 2008 Brisbane Grammar School have set their sights on going one better in 2009. And they are giving themselves every chance!
"This year we are looking to bring our 1st 8, 2nd 8 and U16 1st 8 as I feel they can all get that same benefits from attending as our first 8 got in 2008." BGS Rowing Head Coach said.
BGS racing as Brisbane BMW attended the inaugural Griffith Unviersity Paradise Regatta in 08 and enjoyed the balance of competition and social events."The opening ceremony really blew the guys away and the racing really kickstarted our Head of the River preparation and brought the boys together." Joe added.
"Its a great experience to offer the guys, to race on television. Also it gives them a chance to see first hand the great University rowing programs Australia has that offer a pathway to continue in the sport beyond the Head of the River."
